Mactaris

Mactaris: Numidian-Punic-Roman city in western Africa, modern Makthar.

The presence of Libyan and Punic inscriptions proves that Mactaris already was a very substantial city before the arrival of the Romans. Chamber tombs ("dolmens") confirm this
