Peroz II
Peroz II: king of Persia, ruling in c.630 CE, member of the Sasanian dynasty.

- The Sasanian king Khusrau II fought a long war against the Byzantines, but was defeated by the Byzantine emperor Heraclius, and replaced by his son Kavad II, who killed all his brothers but left his sisters alive. Kavad died after a short reign and left a young son Ardašir IV as successor.
- In 630, Ardašir was replaced by Khusrau's general Shahrbaraz, who was killed almost immediately and succeeded by queen Buran.
- Her reign was confused and in 632, she was succeeded by Yadzgard III, the last king of Sasanian Persia.
- In these confused years, 628 to 632, a king Peroz is mentioned as well. He is known from coins and a reference by the historian Tabari. He was a descendant of Khusrau I.
